And now for something a little different

These photos of are some of the least "boudoir" photos I've done. They're really more just fine art portraits. And... I just freaking love them. They're my favorite photos from a shoot where I somehow have something like 130 finished edits. ⠀

And while there are lots of other photos from the shoot I love, something about these really stands out to me. I love the pattern of red light that frames her face. I love the subtle yellow light on her back. I love the way the silver paint compliments her hair and contrasts with her skin tones. It's just such a cool dance of colors and contrasts.⠀

Her poses are really just kind of silly, but the golden rule in photography is that if you're doing or wearing something silly, just have a look on your face like you totally own it and it will look amazing. Notice too how a slight change in her gaze can dramatically shift the mood and emotion conveyed by the photo.⠀
